What is a Career Coach?

A career coach is a specialized professional in the general hiring and recruitment process who helps you identify your skills and interests, and the steps needed to pursue your career, educational and personal goals. They provide resources and tools for you to map out a plan to acquire those skills, put them into practice and effectively manifest your career goals into reality.

Who is the Career Coaching Collaborative and how is it funded?

The Career Coaching Collaborative was created and designed to better support workers in navigating career opportunities and make informed choices about the training and employment steps needed to reach their goals.  The Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC) allocated a total of $9,934,760 from Colorado House Bill 21-1264 (HB21-1264) to build, train and hire career coaches from across workforce and community based organizations to provide career coaching opportunities and increase Coloradans’ access to these valuable services.

In late 2022, a virtual coaching service was launched to increase access to coaching services for people who cannot access these services in their local community or who are not available during 9am-5pm working hours. Services for Spanish speakers are also available.
